Officer nominations and elections will be held in accordance with the AFA-HS Calendar. Only members with one or more years remaining before graduation will be eligible to run for office. All elections will be held via secret ballot. In the event of a tied vote the Chapter advisor will hold the deciding vote. The results of each election should be emailed by the President to the State Chapter at staff@akamaifinanceacademy.com. Officer Positions

Creating Other Officer Positions
In accordance with the chapter bylaws, the required officers may decide to create additional officer positions, committees, and the like provided the new officer positions do not change the primary responsibilities of the required officer positions above, e.g., an Assistant Treasurer position could be created to help the Treasurer with the chapter's fundraising responsibilities because it still leaves the primary responsibility for the chapters fundraising with the Treasurer. The required officers, PM, APM and Advisor will be issued fifty business cards upon chapter formation as part of the Chapter Packet. Students that are not one of the aforementioned positions may order business cards for themselves at any time in the AFA-HS Store.
Special Elections
In the event that an officer is unable to complete her/his term in office, a special election shall be held as soon as possible to elect a replacement. During the interim of the vacancy, the remaining officers shall share in the responsibility of completing the vacant officer’s responsibilities or appoint an interim-officer until a formal election may be held. |
